Website

In this project i had to make a website. I thought it was a really cool and fun project to go. And it wasn't to terribly hard to complete. I think it's really cool to be able to show someone and be able to say I made this website. Also adding the link to my schedule was pretty easy. And it's cool to be able to click on a link an it go to another page. I think this was a great last project to complete and im so happy I got to explore this branch of e-Comm!

Photoshop Project 4

This project wasn't to hard to do. First you had to remove the light poles using the clone stamp. In some was it was hard, you just always had to remember to re-grab color so it matches the colors around it. The you had to remove the cars, which was easy. Then you had to go into the raven picture and use the magnetic lasso tool to cut it out. Then you had to arrange the tiles vertically and drag the raven head into the center of the school. Then you had to do the same with all the little individual pictures. Then with all the picture u had to make a layer mask by clicking on the button at the bottom that looked like a rectangle with a circle in it. Then you had to use a large soft brush and fur the opacity dow almost all the way and great gradient around each picture and then arrange them the way you want and then your done!

Photoshop Project 3

This project was a lot harder tan he other projects we have done. First we had to make a text mask, which is hen you go into the text tool and choose the text mask. Then you Type what you want, in my case I typed NORTHWEST. Then you had to go in and choose the back and blue mask. Then you had to choose the white outline for the text. Then your all done!

Photoshop Project 2

This was the butterfly project. It started out as a normal monarch butterfly but we had to select and then shift select the same space on the other side. Then select a odor from the different hues, and then just repeat for all the other spaces. Overall I thought it was a pretty easy project.

180 degree rule

In this ecomm project I learned how to follow the 180 degree rule. The 180 degree rule is where you have 2 actors and you have to keep the camera on one side of the 2 actors the whole time. I will be able to apply this in the next project if I have more than 1 actor. Collaboration was different this time because we had more people so there were more ideas. We also had to have more collaboration because we had 2 actors. This can improve collaboration because no have more ideas fro future videos due to previous videos. This can improve collaboration because I can give more ideas to the group that I am working with. Also being in a larger group give me more experience with more people, and having 2 actors improved this even more because both of us had to collaborate on what we wanted to do together while we were acting.

orthogonal cube

The orthogonal cube was pretty easy to make. All you had to go was draw one line. You them had to copy that line at a 120 degree angle. You then just had to copy that line and move it to where you wanted it to go. Then you had to separate at side which was very difficult in my opinion. If you wouldn't have separated all the sides then you wouldn't have been able to color each individual side. But once you got them all separated you just had to color in the sides whatever color you wanted and then you were done!

Personal logo

Logos are what describe who you are. They represent your personality. My logo was music related. It was a treble clef sign and a base clef sign put together to form the shape of a heart. Although getting the sketch  liked was not all that easy. In this process i made many different sketches. It was hard to choose just one. Once i decided on the one i liked most, i cropped the scan and uploaded it to illustrator. I then had to use the pen tool to outline it. I think that was the hardest part of the whole process because sometimes the pen doesn't go where you want it to go. But then once you have it all outlined you just have to fill it in. And TADA! Your all finished!

Name

Although i did not like my font, new alphabet, the words fit my personality. The words were rational, assertive, progressive and disciplined. The word rational fits me because I don't like to use everything all at once. The word aggressive fits me because aim not a patient person at all. The word progressive fits me well because i don't like to stick with one thing for a long time, i like to move forward and learn new things. The final word was disciplined. this word fits e because i follow rules and don't normally talk back. That is why new alphabet is my font

Color

Color

Color is everything. It is everywhere, in logos, in restaurants and schools. It can make something look appealing or make it unappealing. There are many different types of color: primary, secondary, tertiary, triad, analogous, complimentary, split-complimentary, double split-complimentary, monochromatic, warm, cool and trimatic. They all symbolize something different.

ECopeland HR1 Interview

So this is my last video in the video strand for
my freshman year. It’s really sad because I liked this part of eComm a lot!!!!!My next branch in my eComm career will be Graphic Design, which I am also
excited for.

This video was an interview. For this video we
had to write a script, which I had never done, and use the audio from the camera, which I had also never done. It was also good to work with anther person I had never worked with. I helped me get other ideas for my questions and what shots to film.

I think this project will help me in the future
if I try and get a job. It will help me because I know how to act professional but I would need to dress a little nicer. I hope I get the chance to come back to video and do more projects like this. Bye video!

ECopeland 2 6shotsequence HR1

In this two paragraph sequence I learned how not to do jump cuts. I also learned how to transition cuts to make it go from lone six shot sequence into the next six shot sequence. I also am learning to memorize the short cut keys and become more familiar with them. Another thing I learned was how to use the arrow keys to make two separate videos line up exactly. What I will apply to my next video is being able to not do jump cuts, and to hold the camera still so it’s not shaky. Collaboration is when you have to talk with other people to figure something out. Collaboration is important in a class like this because if you don't talk to the other person then they wont know what to film and you won't know what to do. These are the things I learned in the two six shot sequences.

My Personality Test

The Myers-Briggs test is a test that shows what kind of personality you have. The test told me i was an ESFJ. That means i am warmhearted, and cooperative. It also means i work for something to be accomplished and for it to be on time. i also appreciate who someone is and what they contribute. The famous person i am life is George Washington. Also Marilyn Monroe
I think the test described me fairly well. It was right about how i work to get something done and on time also how i like to work with other people to complete something. I also accept people for who they are. however i don't think i notice things other people nee in their everyday lives.
The was my personality works in a group setting is to help people get the project done on time and get it done right. What happens when role i need to fill matches up well with your personality type is the project we are working on comes out really well because me and that other persons personality type match up  very well and when it doesn't i just work my best to make the project still come out well.

Wednesday, September 10, 2014

In this project we had to video someones hobby using the 6 shot sequence. The 6 shot sequence is the sequence of shots that are the mail shots used in filming anything. The 6 shots are: extra close up (xcu), close up (cu), over the shoulder (ots), close up (cu), medium, wide, and extra wide. Extra close up is so close you can only tell what that person is doing. In a close up you can see what the person is doing and what they are doing it with. In an over the shoulder you see what the person is doing over their shoulder. In a medium shot you can see all of what they are doing and where they are from their waist up. In a wide shot you can see what the person is doing and most of where they are. In an extra wide shot you can see all of what they are doing and all of where they are. I learned what all the 6 shots are and how to use them. I also learned that you can have 2 wide or extra wide shots in a row. I also am learning to be more comfortable in final cut pro. In my next project i hope to apply everything that i learned from the 6 shot sequence.

gymnastics clips

I chose gymnastics because it’s the sport that I have done all of my life. I have been doing it since I was three years old. I have gone to KGDC since then.  It has taken up most of my free time. I don’t have much time to be a teenager because I’m always training. I am a training level eight skills but compete at level 7. I practice about 15 hours a week. I am on the gymnastics team her at Olathe northwest. I am one of only a few that is going to compete all varsity events. For high school gymnastics we practice everyday after school from 3:30-5:30 at Olathe east. Each year I compete at a state competition ad if I get a high enough score I quality for a regional competition. Gymnastics is a skill you have to train very hard for and you have to really want to be there.
